Who is ‘YAG’?

We are young people just like you! Each one of us are locals from the Warren Blackwood region and as members of BYA’s Youth Advisory Group, we are your representatives.

We meet once a week to discuss youth stuff, brainstorm, plan and have fun! Sometimes we go on camps and participate in activites that help us grow as individuals and as a team.

It is our aim to set an example and make positive changes for the young people in our region. We do this by being the best we can be!

We UNDERSTAND.

As a group of local young people, we know what issues you guys are facing because we are facing them ourselves. We’re in this together. Let’s have each other’s backs!

We SPEAK.

Because we understand we can speak. At BYA we talk about the experiences, issues and needs of young people in our region. BYA provides the opportunity for our voices to be heard in the wider community.

We LEAD.

By speaking we can lead. Together we can influence our community and lead a way for other young people to follow. Sometimes we don’t know how to lead, but that is when we help each other.
